Property Tax Bills can be paid in person at the Covert Township Hall at 73943 Lake Street, Covert, MI 49043 during regular business hours, or dropped in the drop box at the same location.
Checks and money orders can be mailed to Covert Township, PO BOX 35, Covert, MI 49043.

Summer taxes can be paid directly to Covert Township July 1 – February 28 each year, after which it must be paid to Van Buren County. 1% interest is added if not paid by September 14 (or the following Monday if it falls on a weekend) and the first of each month. On March 1 , taxes are payable to the County with an additional 4% administration fee and 1% interest per month.
Winter taxes can be paid directly to Covert Township December 1 – February 28 each year, after which it must be paid to Van Buren County. On March 1 , taxes are payable to the County with an additional 4% administration fee and 1% interest per month.
