Construction is underway to replace an aging boardwalk at the Covert Park Beach & Campground. The 600 foot wooden structure will be replaced with a combination of new timber and composite decking. Visitors and campers can enjoy the serene natural environment of the forest and dunes as they make their way to the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan,.
This project was 100% funded by a grant from the MDNR’s Spark Program. Construction is expected to be complete by May 2025.
